I like the foot straps they help some but only because I have small feet. I tried without them but I use them, they do help.
They are worth having.

My right foot is slightly turned to the right as the result of a operation. When using the exerciser my right foot slips off the foot rest. The straps completely solves this problem.

Ellipse foot straps
I feel like it wouldn't be a great idea to try to use the ellipse machine without the straps. Your feet would probably come off the foot pedals more than you'd like, which would just upset me. There is not much to them & they should be included in the price, as it's overpriced to begin with. Since my purchase a few weeks ago, the price has decreased for the foot straps. I am satisfied with my Ellipse with the foot straps.
